BigSecond is an employment advice & support network operating throughout Sandwell. BigSecond is not a recruitment agency. We operate solely with Volunteers dedicating their spare time to help the long term unemployed back to work.
BigSecond provides a range of free services to those in Sandwell who are currently looking for employment. If you have been struggling to find work then BigSecond may be the help that you are looking for.
Local Workshops can give you the support and advice that you desperately require in a face to face environment with one of our voluntary advisors. We believe that one of the best ways of finding work is to talk to other people in the same situation as yourself. The workshops that we would like to organise (funding permitting) are a great medium to do this.

Online Blog you can chat to our voluntary advisors but more importantly exchange ideas and job listings with other current Jobseekers which we feel is a very effective way of finding work.
Jobsearch Help points you in the right direction, giving you advice on the best possible ways of looking for work.

The problem of youth unemployment has reached an "emergency point" according to a new report.
Former foreign secretary David Miliband, who chairs the Commission on Youth Unemployment which produced the report, told the Today programme that is "poor preparation" to the job market for young people.
Unemployment figures in Sandwell hit an all time high, there are currently 16,300 unemployed people living in sandwell. 7,900 of which are aged between 16 and 24.
